Sourdough Starters - Regular & Gluten Free
These starters come dehydrated with instructions on how to rehydrate, OR you can get a live starter (regular) with a WECK jar (local delivery or pick up only)
I feed my sourdough starters everyday with organic ingredients, and they are very healthy and ready to be shared so that we can all eat bread together (while apart).
Each regular starter comes with enough for 3 starter activations and the gluten free with 1 activation.
- Regular Sourdough Starter is fed with 100% organic unbleached flour, my friend Ashley Turner of Turner Farms hosts workshops to make sourdough you should follow her on Instagram @turner.farm
- Gluten Free Sourdough Starter is fed with 100% organic sweet rice flour and buckwheat flour, both of which are gluten free. This bread has been tried and tested by individuals with both a gluten intolerant and celiac disease. I have a great recipe that I follow and would be happy to share.
PLEASE NOTE
- in order to feed your regular sourdough starter DAILY you will need to have either organic or regular all-purpose flour on hand, in cooler months you only have to feed every 24 hours versus every 12 as indicated on the back of the pouch.
- in order to feed your gluten-free starter DAILY you will need to have buckwheat flour and sweet rice flour on hand, you can purchase sweet rice flour on Amazon
The dehydrated products can be shipped worldwide, and are either shipped or delivered next day within HRM or picked up same day from my studio. If in Canada or the US, you can order directly from this site. If outside of Canada or the US, you can send me an email and I will send you a Paypal invoice that will include shipping.
